Instructional Film, Radio, and Television in the
21st Century:
Conclusions and Predictions
|
 |
Without hesitation, and with great certainty, we can state the following:
- Recorded moving images (television/film/video) will continue to be used in education
- The use of computers in education will increase
- As libraries, archives, and other learning object repositories expand efforts to provide virtual access to their collections, computers will increasingly be used to deliver video images to learners
- But, until technologies for delivery improve, learners will prefer to view moving images on television screens rather than on computer monitors
- Any predictions we make are bound to be confounded by the intersection of technological change and human preference.
