"Daily Cat Care" video description and transcript

Scene: cats in wire crates. Sounds of cats crying.

MILLI: We come in fairly early and go around to every kitty cage and give them fresh food and water. Soft food and dry food. And change their water, change their beds, change their potty boxes so they're all nice and clean for the new day like we'd do a real baby. Then we make rounds during the day and if they need anything they give it. And some of them that we haven't had very long are very hungry. And so we also give them more in their little dishes.

Scene: Volunteers feeding cats and cleaning cages.

Scene: Milli putting cat in cage.

MILLI: This is a kitty that just arrived in our shelter. And the first thing we do is we put him in a cage and give him some food, usually soft food, and some water, and as you can see here they're very hungry. We don't know when they ate last.

Scene: Milli removing another cat from its cage

MILLI: This little kitty has been on meds for a few days. It was just pretty lethargic or you know, just wanted to sleep in its bed all the time. And didn't want to eat very well, so we've encouraged her and fed her special food. She was checked out the other day and it was decided that maybe she needed some antibiotics. And so what we do is most of the antibiotics we give are liquid in these little syringes. And slip it into the side of their mouth. And you know, they... they... like I said they really don't like it very well but they will swallow it. She is getting better and better. She's going to be able to leave here soon. She's a real sweetheart. A really nice kitty.
