Reuniting animals with their owners is the best part of rescue work.

Reunions don't just happen, though. Best Friends staff and volunteers work tirelessly to follow every possible lead to help reunite animals with their owners. At the other end, owners are searching Petfinder and visiting shelters and leaving no stone unturned to find their beloved pets.

In the video at right, Pidie the cat is reunited with his family.

Cat owners are often surprised by how loving and expressive their formerly aloof cats are at reunion time!
