In addition to cats and dogs, rescued animals at the Best Friends Katrina animal rescue facility have included lizards, snakes, fish, tarantulas, a sugar glider and a duck. Each animal is given the best possible care in a climate controlled environment.
duck

This duck was immature when she was found. At the Best Friends rescue facility she gained over a pound and grew new, mature feathers on her wings.

Ducky took several daily swims in the office sink and was snuggled in a towel after each bath.

Ducky went home with a rescue group from Minnesota, where she will be fostered in a secure outdoor setting.
