Created Hispanic Heritage Month Screenings Web page using Dreamweaver MX 2004 The screening series is sponsored by the Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection at the UGA Libraries and is hosted by Latin American bibliographer Laura Shedenhelm. I found and/or created appropriate graphics in Photoshop for inclusion in the Web page. |

Taught introduction to imovie to EDIT 6190 first-timers I got lots of help from Dr. Rieber, Greg Clinton, & Robin Fay. Students watched me edit a movie about the Studio and then used imovie's stock footage or footage they had taken themselves to edit a short video. I learned some new things and re-learned some things I had forgotten. |

Best Friends Hurricane Katrina Lost & Found Pets volunteer I worked with data using excel, access, and the World Wide Web at Best Friends Animal Society's Hurricane Katrina Rescue Shelter in Tylertown, Mississippi from Oct. 8 through November 7th. (Some of my service hours are also logged on my EDIT6210 project management site.) As Lost & Found Pets volunteer, I took calls from people looking for their missing pets and searched our intake databases and different sites on the World Wide Web to try to locate the animals. I did lots of non-technology things while there as well, but the service hours recorded her reflect my use of technology in my rescue work. Above: standing outside "Kitty City" because phone reception was better outdoors, taking a call from someone looking for a missing pet. Below: cleaning a litterbox in the "Dixie Suite," a group play area for some of the kittens. I cleaned approximately 30 litterboxes per day while in Tylertown, which made getting back on the computer much more appealing!
